Man United Ready £60M Move for Premier League Star as Amorim Plans Big January Shake-Up

by Alex Matthews

Manchester United are ready to go big again as reports say they’re planning a £60 million move for Adam Wharton, the Crystal Palace midfielder who’s been turning heads in the Premier League.

The Red Devils are looking for fresh energy in the middle of the pitch, and Wharton has now become their top choice.

Manager Ruben Amorim is said to be a huge fan of the young English star and wants him at Old Trafford next summer.

United Need Midfield Reinforcements

It’s clear United need new faces in midfield. Casemiro is getting older, and there’s uncertainty about Kobbie Mainoo’s long-term role.

Despite a busy summer window, United didn’t bring in a new central midfielder, something Amorim now wants to fix quickly.

Over the summer, United looked at several options, including Carlos Baleba from Brighton. But they couldn’t afford the deal back then, and Baleba now wants to leave in January.

Still, Amorim’s attention has moved to Wharton, who’s been one of the standout young players in England this season.

Amorim a Big Admirer of Wharton

Reports say Amorim has been following Wharton closely and loves his calmness on the ball and strong mentality.

The 21-year-old has shown he can control games, make smart passes, and help his team keep possession even under pressure.

Palace may not want to sell, but United believe an offer around £60m could make them think twice.

It’s also understood that Wharton has a gentleman’s agreement with the club, meaning he could be allowed to leave next summer if a big opportunity arrives.

Palace Star on the Rise

Wharton has been key for Palace since he joined. His performances helped the club lift the FA Cup last season, and they’ve started this Premier League campaign strongly too.

His rise has been quick, and many fans believe he’s ready for a top club.

If United get him, Wharton could become the heartbeat of their midfield. With Amorim’s attacking style, the youngster could shine even brighter, bringing the kind of creativity and calm United have missed in recent years.

But Palace will fight hard to keep their star. They know losing Wharton could be a big blow to their progress.

Still, with United pushing hard and Amorim desperate for midfield quality, this transfer could be one to watch when the window opens.
