Man United Blown Away As La Liga Wonderkid Snubs Move To Sign Shock New Deal

by Alex Matthews

Manchester United, AC Milan and Atletico Madrid are set to miss out on a top La Liga star.

Valencia midfielder Javi Guerra is now staying at his club, as he signs a brand-new deal until 2029.

Javi Guerra Staying in Spain

The 22-year-old midfielder has been one of the brightest players in Spain’s La Liga.

Big clubs like Manchester United and AC Milan were keeping a close eye on him.

United had been watching him for a long time and even came close to agreeing a contract.

Atletico Madrid nearly signed him last year but changed their plans. And this summer, AC Milan tried hard to bring him to Italy.

But Guerra has now made up his mind. He wants to stay in Valencia. Spanish radio Cadena Cope says he has agreed to sign a four-year contract extension.

His old deal was going to end in 2027, but now he will stay until 2029. This is great news for Valencia and their new General Manager Ron Gourlay.

More Young Stars to Stay at Valencia

It’s not just Javi Guerra who is staying. Two more young stars are also about to sign new contracts.

First is Cesar Tarrega, a defender and Spanish under-21 international.

He will now stay with Valencia for five more years, even though other clubs wanted him. He is seen as one of the leaders of the team.

The second is Diego Lopez, a talented winger. He scored nine goals last season and was one of the most important players for manager Carlos Corberan.

Lopez is ready to sign a four-year deal.

Valencia Busy in the Transfer Market

Valencia are now very active in the market after selling Cristhian Mosquera and Yarek Gasiorowski for around €30 million.

They already brought in Jose Copete, a centre-back from Mallorca.

And more players could join soon. Reports say Valencia are about to sign Baptiste Santamaria on a free transfer from Rennes, and Filip Ugrunic, a Swiss international, who will arrive for a medical.

The club also wants to bring back Umar Sadiq from Real Sociedad. He played for them on loan last season.

If that doesn’t happen, they may try to sign Ivan Azon from Como or Cyle Larin from Mallorca.

Valencia fans have a lot to be happy about, as their young stars are staying and more fresh faces are expected soon.
