Danny Murphy Hails Bruno Fernandes as Europe’s Top No.10 After United Smash Spurs

by Alex Matthews

Manchester United are flying right now, and much of the credit goes to their £47million star Bruno Fernandes.

After another brilliant performance in the Premier League, former player Danny Murphy has said Fernandes is arguably the best attacking midfielder in Europe.

United beat Tottenham 2-0 at Old Trafford on Saturday, keeping their four-game winning run under interim boss Michael Carrick.

The win moves them closer to the top of the Premier League table, just three points behind Manchester City and Aston Villa.

Fernandes at the Heart of United’s Attack

Bruno Fernandes scored United’s second goal of the night, poking home Diogo Dalot’s cross in the 81st minute.

It was a calm finish under pressure and sealed the victory for the Red Devils.

Since Carrick took over, Fernandes has been playing in a more advanced role.

The Portuguese was previously playing deeper in a two-man midfield under Ruben Amorim, but now he is free to attack, create, and score.

In his last four games, Fernandes has scored one goal and provided four assists.

Only Erling Haaland has more goal involvements in the league this season, showing just how important Fernandes is to United’s success.

Danny Murphy praised Fernandes after the match, saying: “Bruno got his goal with a wonderful finish and topped off a brilliant performance. At the moment, he’s arguably the best No. 10 in Europe.”

United Fans Rejoice as Carrick’s Impact Shows

Carrick’s arrival has clearly lifted the team. Under him, United play with confidence, freedom, and energy.

Fernandes said the manager has given players responsibility on the pitch, which allows them to make decisions and express themselves.

Bruno told TNT Sports: “Michael came in with the right idea of giving the players freedom to take responsibility on the pitch.

Everyone understands the pressure at Man United, and we know the expectations. He’s shown he could be a great manager here.”

The fans are loving it. United supporters at Old Trafford were loud all game, cheering for every move Fernandes made.

His partnership with other key players has helped United look dangerous every time they attack.

Carrick Keeping United on Track

Michael Carrick may only be interim, but he has already changed the mood at United.

The team is unbeaten in four games and playing attractive football, with Bruno at the centre. Murphy also mentioned that these performances are exceptional and that Carrick has made a strong start.

With United travelling to West Ham in midweek, they will look to extend their winning run to five games.

If Fernandes keeps performing like this, he could be the difference in every match and a serious contender for the Premier League’s top attacking midfielder of the season.

For Manchester United fans, it is an exciting time. The combination of Carrick’s tactics and Fernandes’ brilliance has given the club belief again.

If this form continues, United could be back challenging at the very top, and Fernandes will be leading the way.
