£72m Flop on the Move? Man Utd Close to Sancho Exit as Juventus Plan Double £100m Raid

by Alex Matthews

Manchester United are ready to shake things up again this summer.

After spending big money on Matheus Cunha (£62.5m) and Bryan Mbeumo (£71m), the Red Devils are now focusing on selling players who are not in manager Ruben Amorim’s plans.

The latest news suggests Jadon Sancho is very close to leaving, with Juventus working on a deal to take him to Italy.

But that’s not all, reports claim Juventus have also asked about Rasmus Højlund, which could make things very interesting at Old Trafford.

Sancho Nearing the Exit

Sancho’s time at Manchester United has been full of ups and downs.

He was once seen as a future star after his big move from Borussia Dortmund, but things haven’t gone as expected.

After a poor spell and loans that didn’t work out, United are ready to cash in on him.

Juventus have been in talks with United for weeks and the deal is now moving in the right direction.

The Italian club needs to adjust their wage bill before they can make the move official, but Sancho himself is open to the switch.

Former England defender Glen Johnson recently said that both Sancho and Marcus Rashford should look to move abroad to restart their careers.

With Rashford already set for a loan move to Barcelona, Sancho looks like the next name on the list.

Juventus Ask About Højlund

During the Sancho discussions, Juventus have also asked about Rasmus Højlund.

The young Danish striker was signed for a big fee last summer but has struggled to become a regular goal scorer.

Amorim wants a new striker this summer, and it’s believed United would not rule out selling Højlund if they find the right replacement.

Transfer insider Graeme Bailey said that United know Højlund might not get a starting role next season and could part ways if it helps fund a top-class No.9.

United’s Summer Rebuild

United’s transfer list is full of big names like Rashford, Sancho, Antony, Tyrell Malacia, and even young Alejandro Garnacho.

Amorim and the new management team want to bring fresh energy into the squad and are not afraid to let go of players who don’t fit the system.

With Cunha and Mbeumo already signed, the next steps for United are to land a proven striker and possibly a new goalkeeper, especially with Andre Onana out injured for weeks.
