Manchester United’s £35m Dream Move Back On as Shock Twist Forces Major Transfer U-Turn

by Alex Matthews

Manchester United might soon make a big decision about signing a new goalkeeper, and Gianluigi Donnarumma could be the one they go for.

PSG Goalkeeper Could Be on the Move

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are close to signing a new goalkeeper, Lucas Chevalier from Lille.

Reports say PSG have already agreed personal terms with the player and are ready to pay around £34.9 million to get the deal done.

If this move happens, Donnarumma’s spot as the number one keeper in Paris may be under threat.

The Italian shot-stopper still has one year left on his contract at PSG, and there’s been no sign he will sign a new deal.

If he doesn’t agree to stay, PSG may be forced to sell him this summer to avoid losing him for free next year just like they did with Kylian Mbappe.

United Eyeing a Goalkeeper

Manchester United are already looking for a new goalkeeper to challenge or even replace André Onana.

The Reds have tried to bring in Aston Villa’s Emiliano Martinez on loan, but that deal didn’t go through.

They are also looking at Royal Antwerp’s Senne Lammens, but nothing is confirmed yet.

Now, with Donnarumma possibly available, United could make a move.

His experience, shot-stopping skills, and big-game record make him a strong option.

Reports even say both United and Manchester City are watching his situation closely.

Bargain Deal Could Be on the Table

Because Donnarumma only has 12 months left on his deal, he could be available for a cut-price transfer.

For a club like United, who are trying to rebuild their squad this summer, this kind of deal could be too good to ignore.

The team has already added three players this window, Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, and Diego Leon and more signings are expected.

A new striker remains the top target, but a goalkeeper is also a key part of their plans.

If PSG signs Chevalier, Donnarumma could be pushed out. With his contract running down, it’s the perfect chance for Manchester United to act fast.

A move for the Italian keeper would not only solve their goalkeeping issue but also bring world-class talent to Old Trafford.

Let’s wait and see if United take this golden chance.
