Manchester United are working hard this summer to sign a new striker.
Their top target is Benjamin Sesko, a 22-year-old from RB Leipzig.
The club sees him as a strong and young player who can lead the attack for years.
But there’s a problem, RB Leipzig wants a big fee for him. Reports say the German club is asking for €75 million plus add-ons, and they also want a percentage if Sesko is sold again in the future.
That kind of deal could be too expensive for United, who are also looking at other areas to improve.
Even though Sesko wants to move to Old Trafford and play in the Premier League, the price tag could delay or even stop the deal.
Newcastle are also watching him closely, so United must move fast.
Randal Kolo Muani Named As Plan B
If the Sesko deal doesn’t happen, United already have a backup plan.
According to reports, they’re looking at Randal Kolo Muani, a striker from Paris Saint-Germain.
The 26-year-old has not had the best time under PSG boss Luis Enrique, and the French club is ready to sell.
PSG would accept around £50 million, which is a much lower price than Sesko.
United believe this could be “great value” for a striker who has experience in top leagues and has also played in big matches.
Kolo Muani can play in more than one position in attack, which makes him a useful option, especially with Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee expected to stay at United this season.
Juventus Also Want Kolo Muani
United will not have it easy, though. Juventus also want to sign Kolo Muani.
He spent last season’s second half on loan at the Italian club and scored 10 goals in 22 games.
Juventus liked his performance and are in talks with PSG to bring him back.
The Juventus director said Kolo Muani wants to return, but United might still have a chance if they act quickly.
The player’s future is not fully decided yet.
Manchester United are clearly serious about improving their forward line.
Whether it’s Benjamin Sesko or Randal Kolo Muani, fans can expect a new striker at Old Trafford soon.
The big question now is, will United pay the high price for Sesko, or go for the cheaper and experienced Kolo Muani?
