Carlos Baleba Breaks Silence as Manchester United Circle: His Bold Response Says It All

by Alex Matthews

Manchester United are looking to bring in Brighton’s young midfield star Carlos Baleba, but it ain’t gonna be easy.

The 21-year-old Cameroon lad has been on United’s radar, but Brighton don’t wanna sell, and that could be a big blow for the Red Devils this summer.

United Need A Midfield Boost

Man United have already spent over £100 million on attacking players this summer, including a deal near done for striker Benjamin Sesko.

But fans and experts say the club still badly needs a strong midfielder.

The current options in the middle, like Casemiro, are getting older.

Youngster Kobbie Mainoo is still learning, and manager Ruben Amorim isn’t fully sure if he and Manuel Ugarte are ready to lead the midfield just yet.

That’s why Baleba is now high on United’s wish list.

He’s young, strong, fast, and already got Premier League experience.

Former United man Rio Ferdinand even said last month that the club should go for Baleba over Sesko, calling him a “do-it-all” midfielder.

Baleba’s Strong Mentality Stands Out

One thing that makes Baleba different is his mindset. Last year, he spoke about how he didn’t get caught up in all the transfer talk.

When asked about big clubs like Liverpool and others being interested,

he said: “I don’t really think like that. I just work hard, help my team, and focus on getting better.”

He also said being a “star” doesn’t mean much to him. He prefers to stay grounded, work hard, and keep his cool.

That kind of thinking could be perfect for United, especially with all the pressure that comes at Old Trafford.

Brighton Say “No Deal” For Now

Even though United have shown interest and people close to the club have reached out, Brighton don’t seem ready to do business.

Their chief Paul Barber called the rumours just “speculation” and said no official offer has been made.

Reports also say Brighton wanna keep Baleba at least for one more season.

Brighton are known for being tough negotiators, and they don’t let players go cheap.

With United already spending big this summer, it’s not clear if they’ve got the cash left to tempt Brighton into selling.

Baleba signed for Brighton in 2023 after they lost Alexis Mac Allister and Moises Caicedo, and he’s done really well since, playing in 77 games already.

Baleba looks like the kind of player United really needs right now young, talented, and with the right attitude.

But unless Brighton change their mind or United bring out the big money, it might be a deal that doesn’t happen this summer.

Still, fans will be hoping United can pull something off soon because the midfield still needs sorting.
