Amorim’s Next Big Reunion? Man Utd Push for Midfield Beast in £43m Transfer Twist

by Alex Matthews

Manchester United are back in the market and making strong moves again this summer.

Reports say the club have made an initial offer to sign a powerful midfielder from Sporting CP.

The 26-year-old is keen to leave Portugal and link up with his former manager once again and United are now leading the race.

United Want More Signings After Busy Start

So far this summer, United have already welcomed three new players to Old Trafford, Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Diego Leon. But they’re not done yet.

The club still wants to bring in a new striker, a solid defensive midfielder, and another goalkeeper before the window shuts.

While some focus has been on offloading players like Marcus Rashford (who left on loan to Barcelona), Antony, Jadon Sancho, Garnacho and Malacia, the Red Devils are now shifting their attention back to arrivals.

And now, their next big midfield target could be arriving sooner than expected.

Talks Underway for Midfield Engine

According to reports from Italy, United have made their first official offer for Sporting CP’s Danish midfielder.

This player has impressed in Portugal and is now pushing for a Premier League return.

It’s believed he’s eager to reunite with Ruben Amorim, his former boss who is now in charge at Manchester United.

Sporting have a €80m release clause in his deal, but are willing to lower it to around €50m.

However, the player’s camp think €30-40m is fair and that’s exactly the range United have offered.

He’s known for his strength, tactical brain, and ability to control the midfield, something United badly need.

Sources say he’s ready to return to England immediately if the deal gets sorted.

Other Midfield Names Still on the List

Even with this deal moving fast, United are also keeping an eye on other midfield options.

Former United star Rio Ferdinand has publicly backed Brighton’s Carlos Baleba as the perfect signing.

Rio said, “Baleba has the energy, the legs, and the tactical awareness. I’d splash the cash on him if it was up to me.”

He added, “Baleba would allow others like Bruno Fernandes to do what they do best attack. That balance is key.”

Man United look serious about boosting their midfield strength this summer.

With the current offer on the table, the deal for the Sporting CP star could be wrapped up quickly.

Fans will be watching closely especially with the chance of a reunion between player and manager.
